Midwest Scots is a passion project built around a simple idea: connect people with Scotland and with each other.
Whether your connection comes through ancestry, family, culture, or simply a love of Scottish heritage, my goal is to make it easier to discover the people, traditions, events, organizations, and resources that keep that heritage alive.
Midwest Scots is also about passing it on—helping more people discover Scottish culture and ensuring its stories and traditions continue for future generations.
That means supporting the people who keep our heritage alive today—festivals, vendors, craftsmen, athletes, artists, musicians, pipe bands, clans, societies, and local groups—while helping connect them with audiences, participants, customers, and much-needed volunteers. Keeping Scottish culture alive means supporting the people who actually make it happen.
This is very much a one-man passion project. I have a full-time career and other commitments, so I appreciate your patience as I continue building the site, creating content, and growing the community.
I'm also experimenting with informal local gatherings around Southwest Missouri, Northwest Arkansas, Northeast Oklahoma, and Southeast Kansas—simple opportunities to meet, connect, and enjoy Scottish culture closer to home.
CONNECT REGIONALLY. BELONG LOCALLY.
A place to discover, celebrate, and connect through Scottish heritage.
